What is Twitter?
Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the author's profile page and delivered to the author's subscribers who are known as followers.
What is Commutweet?
CommuTweet is a twitter application that lets you post and get tweets about your daily commute such as delays and other critical information.
How do I post tweets?
You will need a twitter account. If you already have one, sign in with your twitter account and post your tweet based on your preference. For more detailed information click here
Do you keep my twitter user name and password?
No. We do not store your user name and password anywhere. We are using the new twitter authorization method (oAuth) and we do not have access to your login credentials. You are being authorized at twitter's secure web site and being redirected to CommuTweet.
How often is the timeline updated?
We update the timeline every minute. Twitter has a search limit though and we may change this frequency depending on your twitter activity.
What is the deal with the "#" signs?
Hashtags are a community-driven convention for adding additional context and metadata to your tweets. They're like tags on Flickr, only added inline to your post. You create a hashtag simply by prefixing a word with a hash symbol: #hashtag.
The hashtag we use for our tweets is : #CommuTweet
Is CommuTweet available in other languages?
Not yet. However, we will be translating CommuTweet into other languages in the near future and will ask the user community to help us out.
Do I have to pay for using CommuTweet?
No! CommuTweet is absolutely free...
